One Last Push

This letter was sent out by Kendall's Campaign. It is the last push and they need our help:

Dear Friends,

Thank you! With the support of many, many other folks like you, the Kendall Van Dyk for State Legislature campaign has become the sleeper campaign of the 2006 primary.

But, we need to raise just $1,000 in the next 48 hours to push us over the top. We must to respond to a dirty trick of the highest order.

Our opponent has sent out a full-color mailing to primary voters implying Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer endorses his candidacy (see attached). The Governor does not. Use of the photo in question was unauthorized!

The mailing is no doubt a desperate response to the recent Billings Gazette article, which noted that this race was the most expensive Democratic primary election in Montana. The article also noted that several state senators and the state auditor are donors to Kendall's campaign.

We can't respond to this dirty trick without your help. We need to get another literature piece out to voters in these final days in response. That costs $1,000 ($994.64 to be exact!)

We're in a dead heat financially with our millionaire opponent, despite Kendall's modest roots as a Montana ranch kid raised on the banks of the Madison River. If you haven't given the maximum contribution of $130 per person yet, please consider visiting our website and topping off your donation. We take credit cards!

If your spouse, parent(s), or significant other has not given, they can also give up to $130 using a credit card with their name on it, using their checking account, or signing a check on a jointly held checking account. Please encourage them to do so! If you need to download a form and send in a check, you can do that too.

Any contribution you can afford to give at this time, up to $130 per person, is greatly appreciated! If ten folks give $130, we're there!

We have raised over $15,500, knocked on thousands of doors in north-central Billings, and taken the lead in this close race. It has been an amazing and humbling experience for all of us involved.

In six days, primary voters in Billings will decide whether or not to get beyond the bitter and divisive politics of the past and elect someone who will worker harder for our neighborhood than anyone else.

Too much is as stake. Let's not let anyone dupe the voters. That's not right, and we can't let those type of values continue to pervade Helena. Please consider topping off your donation or asking your partner to donate today!

In Solidarity,

Aaron Browning
