Nick Lawyer, one of four candidates endorsed in the primary election for the state legislature by the Big Sky Democrats, has gone live with his website -- and he needs your help before Saturday. more
Lawyer is running for the state House of Representatives in HD13, which is in Western Montana’s Sanders County (includes Plains and Trout Creek.)
Lawyer, 24, was a firefighter and a paramedic before returning home to Plains to help run Lawyer Nursery. Nick is a Plains Community Ambulance volunteer and active Chamber of Commerce member. Recruited by Sen. Jim Elliot (D-Trout Creek), Nick is by far our best hope to keep the seat formerly held by Paul Clark, who’s termed out.
In an email today, Nick makes a solid fundraising pitch in advance of Saturday’s filing deadline. He’s using PayPal on his website, so kicking down is a snap. As Cmack said, $50 bucks goes a long, long way.
Dig deep, folks, so we can build a new generation of Montana leaders and turn a new day in Montana into a new era in Montana.
Here’s Nick’s email from today:
Dear Friends,
We have an important fundraising deadline coming up on Saturday – March 20th, and I need your help. We are very close to our fundraising goal, and we need one final push to get us through the first reporting period of the primary elections.
I'm excited to announce the launch of our website, www.nicklawyer.org . You can read a little bit about me and about where I stand on some of the issues we face in Sanders County. We just uploaded the Northwest Farm Bureau Candidate Forum transcript, under the Issues section. You can read my responses to the questions posed at that session.
I was recently named as one of four candidates backed by the Big Sky Democrats as part of their "New Era" campaign to build the next generation of Montana's leaders. You can read their article and more under the "Press Releases" section.
You can leave your two-cents worth and sign our guestbook. Please, drop us a line.
Most importantly, you can make a difference by donating to our campaign. Click the Contribute link, and follow the steps indicated. We use Paypal for all our online donations. It's the same system that eBay uses, and it's 100% secure. Your contribution will help pay for print advertising, signs, campaign literature, and website design – tools I need to win this election. I'm confident in myself, and with your support, I can help keep Montana the last best place.
Best Regards,
Nick Lawyer
