Yesterday, during debate of the Patriot Act by the House Judiciary Committee, Republican chairman James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin (the same state that gave us Joseph McCarthy) abruptly walked out during the testimony of witnesses brought by Democratic members. He refused to yield to questions by Democrat members, then cut the microphones during witness testimony. It was all live on CSPAN.
